*Suppliers research, optimizing assortment and prices through study and analysis of the market according to the Company targets. *Negotiating and signing contracts with suppliers according to the Company targets. Developing new suppliers and maintain genuine, sustainable partnerships with the existing ones focusing on growth. Reviewing supplier performance and profitability scorecard based. *To control the budget of the category. Definition of bottom-up yearly budget and monthly Forecast in terms of sales, gross profits, later incomes, and stock per category and article group in consultation with Category managers. *Keeping contact with stores & suppliers on a regular basis. Visit Companys stores for sales monitoring and analysis according to the Company targets. Regular market visits (retail and wholesale) for observation of activities of competitors; collect data to make up-to-date information available. *Driving permanent COGS and HVS management improvement including commitment to common sourcing and central sourcing. *Guarantee attractive products and competitive price in base / shelf pricing and for all promotion in alignment with company pricing policy *Participation in the assortment building process in collaboration with cross-functional teams to develop supplier base and contracts for domestic and import. *PROMO management: Defining Metro Post articles and approving weekly / other tactical promotions. *Ensure product availability through effective stock / old stock management and improve supplier partnership development to the stores. *Defining category allocation within the stores according to METRO merchandising principles and customer needs, building proper POG. *Active part in definition and communication of Own Brands strategy (assortment definition, key suppliers, common sourcing).
